Meet Miss Dee, Author of Miss Dee's Homeroom

Hello! I'm Dee, Author of Miss Dee's Homeroom

My name is Dee and I am a General Education teacher turned school level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Combining my time in the classroom and my work as a BCBA, I have over 18 years of experience working directly with students with autism, ADHD, ODD, Intellectual Disabilities, Speech Language Impairments, and other social skills deficits. I just LOVED working in my classroom and helping students develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

Working as a BCBA

Now, as a school-level BCBA, I work with teachers and students on how to:

Teach and learn age-appropriate social skills
Promote positive behavior supports
Promote social-emotional learning within everyday classroom activities
Teach students how to become independent learners by strengthening their executive functioning skills
Develop and practice pragmatic language skills

Life outside of school

In my free time outside of school, using the skills and tools that I have developed working with my students, I enjoy making materials and resources for other teachers that can help them teach the skills that I have taught my own students.

I’m excited to be able to share these materials with you all to help your own students develop and learn the appropriate social, emotional, behavioral, and pragmatic skills in order to be successful at school and in their communities.
